Fourth Grade Spelling Words for Feb. 27- Mar. 2

Hello!

Thank you to all of the students’ family members who were able to join us last week for the many festivities on campus! This week, our spelling, vocabulary, and grammar test will be Thursday, March 2. Students who make below a 70 on assignments are able to make corrections for a better grade, and extra credit is offered for spelling. Write the spelling words 10 times each, turn in your work before the test, and earn 5 points extra credit!

Spelling Words for Fourth Grade February 20-23, 2017

Hello!

It is a great week to be a fourth grader! Parents, it is a busy week at the Intermediate and we would love to have you join in the fun!

Monday night- School Board meeting

Tuesday 5:30-7:00 Leadership Night- Hosted by our students. We have been learning the 7 Habits from Steve Covey. This is a chance for your child to showcase what they have been learning… complete with food trucks in the parking lot!!

Friday- Hoops for Heart Day, Academy Awards, and BIG Parties! What a great day to celebrate academic victories, keeping our body healthy, and being great citizens! Fourth grade schedule will be altered on this day.

Thursday we will have our regular schedule and our Spelling, Vocabulary, and Grammar tests. This week, you can help your student out by reviewing articles with them (these are the words a, and, the) and you can review subject pronouns with them (words such as: they, them, we, he, she, it, you).

  • OOPS! Mrs. Wilson made a mistake on the word general in Spelling City. This week, we are studying the adjective definition, not the noun definition.

Fourth Grade Spelling Words Feb. 14-17 Parties on Monday/Tests on Friday

Hello! We are looking forward to the upcoming week with your child!

Tuesday Fourth Graders will celebrate Valentine’s Day with a party. You are invited to join us. The party begins at 2:30.

Included are the spelling words for this week. We will create our study guides Tuesday in class. The Spelling test will be Friday instead of Thursday.

This week’s words are:honor, either, picture, rather, matter, humor, neither, capture, favor, visitor.

Fourth Grade Spelling Words for February 6-9, Writing Unit Exam February 9

Hello!

Below are the spelling words for this week. We will again look up definitions and parts of speech on Monday, February 6. The test is Thursday, February 9, 2017. We ill also take Unit 4 Writing Exam on Thursday.

Please help your student complete any corrections that they may have. corrections should be done on a separate sheet of notebook paper.

WATCH D.O.G.S. is a one-of-a-kind, school-based father involvement program that works to support education and safety.

Who are WatchD.O.G.S.? Fathers, grandfathers, step-fathers, uncles, and other father figures who volunteer to serve at least one day a year in their child’s school!

Fourth Grade Spelling/ Vocabulary Words For Jan.23-26

Hello!

We hope everyone is enjoying a great weekend! Students will have a Spelling, Vocabulary, and Grammar Quiz this week. It will be Thursday, Jan.26. Monday, Jan. 23, we will discuss how the words are used in a sentence, what part of speech they are, and we will look up the definition for each word. This will be your student’s study guide for the week.

We are very excited that students will complete the study guide through Google Classroom. Your child will have a copy of the study guide AND he/ she will be able to access the study guide from their school Google account in Google Classroom.
