musicGirl I love hearing from you. When you post a comment please put your first and last name so that I know who you are.  Also use correct punctuation and capitalization.  Practice good writing skills! I will not post any more comments that do not have correct punctuation!

Thanks!

Parents,

Please discuss with your child the importance of listening and not talking in class. When students speak out of turn, they cause valuable time to be lost in class. Teachers end up using teaching time to discipline children to be quiet and listen. When the testing starts, the students are the ones who suffer the consequences.

I grew up in Port Arthur, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jeffferson High School. I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University with a bachelors degree in Music Education. I have been teaching music for 27 years with 12 of those being in preschool. I also sing in the Sanctuary choir at my church.  I am married and have 2 children who are both in college, one at Hardin-Simmons and one at Baylor University. My son is pursuing a Church Music degree and my daughter is pursuing a Music Education degree. My hobbies are reading, singing, and watching my children sing.

I teach music in hopes that others will love music as much as I do. It enriches your life!
