Clyde Intermediate School hosted the spring “Meet You at the Track” event on
Monday, April 27th. It was a beautiful night to walk around the Intermediate
track! This event is to encourage our community to be more physically active.
We know that walking together as a family is a fun way to promote healthy
lifestyle habits that will last a lifetime.
Physical Education teachers Debbie Richardson and Jennifer Wilson counted
laps as the students and family members walked and jogged from 5:30 to 6:30
PM. Those miles have been added to the student’s who attended total for gym
Third graders walked and jogged a total of 48 laps with Tate Northcutt
completing 20 laps. He had the most laps completed by a third grader. Fourth
graders completed 29 laps with Payton Phillips achieving the most laps during
the event with 8 laps. Fifth graders completed 40 laps with Landyn Dailey
achieving 28 laps. Landyn was our top runner overall for the evening.
There was a total of 12 students and 20 friends and family members who
participated. Together, everyone completed 275 laps which is 68 ¾ miles. We
know this a very busy time so we appreciate those who came before another
practice to get in some laps or made special plans to attend. This exemplifies
great dedication on their part. Thanks to all the students, parents, grandparents,
siblings and teachers who came to the event. Great job!!
